What can I do if I learn differently or need a more flexible way to study?

Some learners may need flexible approaches to their learning.

Did you know that your past learning experiences may have a negative influence on your current learning journey.

Let's start with a clean slate and make this course the best training experience you've had.   You are in the driver's seat.

Helpful strategies include:

Customising your environment – Use noise-cancelling headphones, colour-coded notes, or visual schedules.

Leveraging technology – Use text-to-speech, dictation tools, or mind-mapping apps.

Working in short bursts – Use the Pomodoro technique (25 minutes on, 5 minutes off) to stay engaged.

Asking for flexibility – Request alternative assessment methods or extra time if available.

Playing to your strengths – Focus on your strongest learning channels (e.g., visuals, movement, or storytelling) to support weaker ones.

You bring a unique way of thinking and learning to everything you do—and that’s a strength. The way your brain works gives you perspectives, creativity, and problem-solving skills that others may not see.

Remember: progress doesn’t have to be perfect. Every small step forward is an achievement worth celebrating. Be patient with yourself and ask for support when you need it.

You’ve got this—you’re capable, resourceful, and your way of learning is just as valid and powerful as anyone else’s.
