I want to be a trainer – once I have my Cert IV in Training and Assessment do I need anything else?
Well done achieving your TAE qualification.RTOs must ensure the trainers they are employing hold the TAE40116 or equivalent. They also require trainers to hold vocational competencies, current industry skills and current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning. Trainers must be committed to undertaking relevant ongoing professional development.
The great thing about being a trainer is that you are always going to continue learning. You will learn with and from your students. You will learn new things from your employers and industry that you work with, and you will learn from other trainers and assessors. It's a great job!
