Frequently Asked Questions About SAS Funding
Answers to the questions Queensland schools most often ask about Skills Assure Supplier funding and partnering with Blueprint.
Is Blueprint approved to deliver SAS funded programs in 2026?
Yes. Blueprint Career Development (RTO #30978) has been confirmed as an approved Skills Assure Supplier for 2026 under the Queensland Government Career Ready initiative. We are currently accepting partnership enquiries from Queensland secondary schools.
Which qualifications does Blueprint offer under SAS funding in 2026?
Blueprint is approved to deliver SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality and SIT20125 Certificate II in Tourism under SAS funding in 2026. Students who complete the Certificate II in Hospitality may also have the option to upgrade to Certificate III in Hospitality through additional units.
What is the deadline for schools to sign up for 2026 SAS funded programs?
Enrolment timelines are set by the Queensland Government and by Blueprint's program planning schedule. Schools are strongly encouraged to make contact as early as possible to secure a place in the 2026 program. Contact Blueprint directly to confirm current availability.
Can students who are not eligible for SAS funding still participate?
Yes. Students who do not meet SAS funding eligibility criteria can participate in Blueprint's VETiS programs on a fee-for-service basis. The fee-for-service cost for the Certificate II in Hospitality is $1,320 per student, and for the Certificate II in Tourism is $1,210 per student.
Does the resource allocation come directly to the school?
The resource allocation is not a direct cash payment to the school. It is an amount available within the program funding that can be used to purchase materials or activities that directly support the student learning experience. Blueprint works with the school to identify appropriate uses of the resource allocation in line with Queensland Government guidelines.
What happens if a student leaves the program partway through?
If a student withdraws from a SAS funded program, Blueprint manages the reporting and funding adjustments in line with Queensland Government requirements. Schools are not responsible for managing withdrawal processes — Blueprint handles this as part of the compliance management service.
Can a school offer both SAS funded and fee-for-service students in the same program?
Yes. A class group can include both SAS funded students and fee-for-service students. Blueprint manages the separate enrolment and funding arrangements for each student, with no additional administrative burden for the school.
