How Does SAS Funding Work for Queensland Schools?
From enrolment to qualification, Blueprint manages the funding, compliance, and reporting; so schools don't have to.
When a school partners with an approved Skills Assure Supplier, the funding arrangement works as follows:
- The school identifies students who wish to enrol in a funded VETiS qualification.
- The school confirms the students meet the eligibility criteria for SAS funding.
- The school signs a Third Party Agreement with the approved SAS provider (Blueprint).
- Blueprint lodges the enrolment data with the Queensland Government and confirms funding approval.
- Training is delivered within the school, facilitated by school staff with Blueprint managing all assessment, compliance, and marking.
- Blueprint receives the SAS funding from the Queensland Government on behalf of the school program.
- Eligible schools may access a resource allocation to reinvest in the student learning experience.
- Students who successfully complete all required units of competency are issued their nationally recognised qualification by Blueprint.
Throughout this process, Blueprint manages all compliance obligations, assessment marking, student records, and reporting to government. Schools are not required to navigate the funding or compliance requirements themselves — Blueprint's team handles it.
