What the process looks like

Step 1 — Record review

We start by reviewing your TAE40116 Statement of Attainment or qualification certificate to confirm exactly which units you completed. This determines precisely what your upgrade requires — we do not apply a blanket template because not every TAE40116 holder has the same upgrade pathway.

Step 2 — RPL assessment (where applicable)

If your current practice aligns with the transition units, we assess whether RPL is a viable pathway. We are direct about this — if the evidence standard can be met, we will help you gather what is needed. If RPL is not the right fit, we will tell you that clearly and move to structured learning instead.

Step 3 — Delivery of transition units

For units completed through learning rather than RPL, Blueprint delivers content in a format that suits working trainers. Our upgrade programmes are designed to be completed alongside existing work, not instead of it.

Step 4 — Assessment and completion

Assessment tasks are structured around your real training context wherever possible. On successful completion, you receive a Statement of Attainment for the transition units, and your TAE40116 plus these units together constitute TAE40122 under the qualification's packaging rules.
