How Are VETiS Programs Delivered in Schools?
VETiS programs are designed to fit within the school timetable, with school-friendly assessment and no need for specialist industry equipment.
VETiS programs are designed to fit within the school timetable. Depending on the qualification and the delivery model agreed between the school and the RTO, students may receive training during regular class periods, in dedicated VET blocks, or through a combination of both.
Key delivery features include:
- Training is contextualised to a school setting — it is not the same as adult VET delivered at TAFE
- Assessment tasks are designed to be age-appropriate and school-friendly
- Programs typically run over one or two years of senior schooling (Years 10–12)
- A minimum group size is usually required — at Blueprint, the minimum is five students per group
- Schools do not need to have specialist industry equipment for most programs — Blueprint provides simulated business environments and resources
Blueys Café — Blueprint's Simulated Training Environment
For Hospitality and Tourism qualifications, Blueprint uses Blueys Café — a fully simulated business environment that replicates a real-world hospitality setting within the school. Blueys Café includes workplace policies and procedures, WHS documentation, operational checklists, and realistic industry scenarios. This means students develop genuine industry skills even without access to a commercial kitchen or café.
